As a unique, and well-informed programme, The Halcyon Active Birth workshop promotes the birth process by using the body's most natural physiological processes. You are shown how to create a gentle, calm and supported birth environment for each stage of the labour.

This workshop is perfect for couples preparing for birth, and is best undertaken in the 2nd or 3rd Trimester of pregnancy. With a specific focus on the actual birth process, mum's and partners will be taught techniques to help the birth progress naturally.
The Halcyon Active Birth Workshop's, build on the principles of Hypnobirthing and the now, widely-recognised need for women to remain as active as possible, and in an upright position during the birth process. Using the power of gravity, you learn the importance of being able to move around freely, creating a peaceful, empowering and calm environment. You will have the opportunity to practice Active Birth techniques, Birth Positions, Birth Partner Participation, Massage, Acupressure, Relaxation and Breathing techniques .
This workshop complements all other Antenatal Courses, including NCT and NHS. It builds on The Nurture Pads Hypnobirthing Programme and weekly Mindfulness & Relaxation classes.
To prepare your body and mind for the birth process, you need to remain as fit and as active in pregnancy as possible. Regular exercise, healthy eating and nurturing positive mental health, will ensure you start the birth process prepared. Pregnancy yoga, pregnancy pilates and Mindfulness weekly sessions help prepare your body, and mind, for birth and the early days of parenting.
